We are now seeking a Full-Time Event Coordinator to lead and grow our private dining and events program.
Role Overview
The Event Coordinator will be the face and driver of our private dining and events business. This role is perfect for a dynamic, detail-oriented professional with a passion for hospitality, sales, and creating unforgettable experiences.
You will be responsible for generating and coordinating 5–15 private events per month , ranging from intimate corporate dinners to milestone celebrations, all while ensuring flawless execution that reflects the Niku X brand.
What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities)
Respond promptly to inquiries and nurture client relationships.
Sell and book events for our private dining room and semi-private spaces.
Conduct site visits, tastings, and event consultations.
Prepare proposals, contracts, BEOs (Banquet Event Orders), and invoices.
Coordinate with culinary, bar, and service teams to deliver seamless events.
Manage client communications before, during, and after events.
Build and maintain a client database, leveraging repeat business and referrals.
Proactively network and market to corporate, social, and luxury clientele in NYC.
Stay on top of trends in NYC’s events and hospitality industry.
Compensation Structure
We offer a competitive base salary plus commission designed to reward strong performance :
$2,000 monthly base ($24,000 annually, may be more depending on experience)
Commission : 5–8% of each coordinated event (based on experience and clientele network)

Average event revenue in NYC restaurants : $5,000–$12,000+
At 5–15 events / month, your commission could range :
5-8% of $5,000 (small dinner) : $250-$400 per event
5-8% of $12,000 (larger event) : $600-$960 per event
Projected annual earnings : $54,000–$96,000+ depending on volume and event size, with no cap on commissions.
This structure is designed to ensure a stable income while giving top performers the ability to thrive financially.
What We’re Looking For
2–3+ years of experience in event planning, restaurant private dining, catering, or hospitality sales (NYC experience strongly preferred).
Strong network of corporate, social, and luxury event clients in NYC a plus.
Sales-minded, with proven ability to meet and exceed booking goals.
Excellent written / verbal communication and negotiation skills.
Detail-oriented, organized, and able to juggle multiple clients / events simultaneously.
Flexible schedule — able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
