You will have the opportunity to collaborate with business, school districts, state partners, and other agencies to further Vadis' mission.

Each day varies as you put your advocacy skills to use as an Employment Consultant. Throughout your week, you will positively impact the lives of our clients with your :

• Excellent customer service and communications with clients, families, employers, educators, funders, and the community
• Facilitation of referral meetings and intake of clients, including explanation of services and skill / vocational assessment
• Facilitation of person-centered planning to assist clients in meeting their overall employment goals.
• Assistance of clients in building work readiness, social, and self-advocacy skills through work experiences, individual coaching, and community activities.
• Development of relationships with the business community to secure jobs for people with disabilities.
• Facilitation of client job starts and providing of on-site training and guidance to both the client and their supervisors / coworkers.

Pay and Benefits

Hours of work typically run Monday through Friday, from 8 : 00am to 4 : 30pm. However, it is important that our employees understand the importance of supporting our clients during the hours that they work. This requires flexibility for evening and / or weekend assignments as needed, based on client caseload.
