Program : Childrens Day Program (12  years-21 years old)

Location : Huntington

Employment Type : Full-Time

Shift : 12-month school schedule. Monday- Friday 8am-3pm, or 830am-330pm (no weekends)

Pay :

o   Bachelors : 46,000-$73,500.00

o   Masters : $51,000-$84,000.00

We are committed to providing exceptional educational and therapeutic services to children with developmental disabilities. Our Children’s Day Program serves children aged 5 years to 21 years, laying the foundation for lifelong learning, independence, and success.

Your Role

As a Special Education Teacher at DDI, you’ll support students ages 12–21 with developmental disabilities through individualized, goal-driven instruction. In a collaborative team setting, you’ll help students build communication and life skills in a structured, nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement age-appropriate IEPs.
• Deliver engaging, play-based instruction that promotes cognitive, motor, and social-emotional development.
• Foster a warm and nurturing classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
• Collaborate with families and multidisciplinary teams (e.g., speech, occupational, physical therapists).
• Monitor and document progress, adapting teaching methods as needed.
• Conduct assessments and participate in team meetings.
