Job Description

As a Security Officer - Residential Site - Unarmed Patrol in Fox Lake, IL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more.

As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned residential areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a welcoming environment for residents and guests. Your presence and strong communication skills will contribute to a positive experience, as you provide exceptional customer service and support. What You'll Do :

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites

  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to residents and guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the residential property and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and / or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter unauthorized access and promote a secure environment for all residents and visitors.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate reports of daily activities, observations, and incidents as required by Allied Universal and the client site.
  • Work collaboratively with property management and local authorities as needed, following all site-specific protocols and procedures.
  • Remain visible and approachable to residents and guests, providing assistance and information as needed to support a positive living environment.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
