Overview
Technical Solution Architect - HPC & AI (Central US). This role has been designated as 'Remote / Teleworker', which means you will primarily work from home.
We are seeking a Technical Solution Architect for HPC & AI. This role will focus on cutting edge, high-performance, high-scale customer solutions serving a wide range of industries and end-users. Our organization includes High-Performance Computing (HPC) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions. We are responsible for the end-to-end infrastructure design of a fully functional cluster for HPC & AI workloads. This is a telework position based in the Central US.
Responsibilities
- Configure hardware clusters for HPC & AI workloads using knowledge of Infiniband and Ethernet networking.
- Apply advanced knowledge of company hardware products and infrastructure solutions to translate the functional view into a technical view and architect complex solutions that can scale to growth.
- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge in one or more solution domains, company products, services, and customer environments.
- Develop compelling customer proposals, review them, manage expectations of internal stakeholders and customers, and ensure business and technical requirements are met.
- Quantify the impact of business problems, position business value, and identify strengths and weaknesses of the overall proposed solution to achieve long-term objectives.
- Provide input to global business units on IT trends, requirements, gaps, or unmet needs.
- Translate outcome-based solutions into functional designs aligned to customer needs, and then into scalable technical designs and architectures.
- Communicate how solution value propositions address customer business needs.
- Track leading-edge and emerging technologies; participate in industry development through conferences, demos, booths, and industry events; monitor social media.
- Incorporate understanding of technology trends and customer industry; gather and apply competitive intelligence as part of account support.
- Drive Account Business Planning, leveraging knowledge of industry trends and the customer's technical environment.
- Participate in deep-dive discussions, partner with the account team to build relationships, and advocate technical strategies for customer transformation.
- Produce in-depth comparative analyses of alternative approaches; develop, configure, and right-size optimal workload solutions balancing cost, scope, scale, and benefits.
- Leverage knowledge of partner products and services; adjust strategies to leverage service provider / partner relationships with customers.
- Transfer knowledge to external partners to deliver effective solutions.
- Proactively build the pipeline by identifying opportunities within the account (enhancements, unmet needs, up-selling, cross-selling); monitor the pipeline and nurture deals from opportunity to close.
- Use pipeline insights to prioritize activities and ensure investments align with deals with the highest potential.
- Participate in sales forecast meetings and provide feedback to accelerate the sales lifecycle.
- Document ongoing work throughout the sales cycle and share best practices with peers and partners to collaborate effectively.
- Build strong professional relationships with customer executives across the business and industry; share knowledge with peers and help develop junior team members.
Education and Experience
First-level university technical degree or equivalent; advanced degree in technology preferred.8+ years of technical IT experience with a focus on technical consulting and solution selling.Knowledge-based and / or 1+ years of relevant industry Certifications strongly preferred.Enterprise architecture frameworks and project management methodologies and certifications are helpful but not required.Knowledge and Skills
Experience leading solution configurations, demos, and proofs-of-concept to meet customer requirements.Deep understanding of the company portfolio of products, services, and solution domains, and how to combine them to meet customer needs.Ability to translate aaS and ecosystem offerings into outcomes, prioritize aaS offerings and consumption models to achieve customer outcomes.Understanding of aaS business model variations; ability to collaborate cross-functionally to meet aaS strategic goals.Advanced written and verbal communication skills, including storytelling, in English and applicable local languages as needed.Strong ability to persuade and challenge proposed solutions respectfully.Advanced business and financial acumen (sales cycle, pipeline growth, reporting, influence, KPI awareness, TCO / ROI concepts) and understanding of customer revenue generation.Advanced consultative / value selling skills, including whiteboarding, objection handling, and closing.Strong knowledge of CRM systems and tools; advanced resource management skills and ability to engage SMEs effectively.Hands-on experience with related products / solutions / tools; ability to design and develop a playbook for demonstrations and to deliver live demonstrations to customers and stakeholders.Excellent project and time management skills with analytical and problem-solving abilities; knowledge of partner offerings and go-to-market strategies; broad understanding of partner ecosystems and how to leverage them for deals.Strategic planning and account planning skills; proficient with business and technical tools and CRM systems.Pay Range Disclosure
USD Annual Salary : $148,500.00 - $288,500.00. This reflects the minimum to maximum base salary and target-level sales compensation for the role, with 80% base salary and 20% target-level sales compensation when applicable. Information about employee benefits can be found at the HP Rewards site.
