Job Description
We are seeking a Technical Solution Architect for HPC & AI. This role focuses on cutting-edge, high-performance, high-scale customer solutions across a wide range of industries and end-users. Our organization includes High-Performance Computing (HPC) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions, responsible for the end-to-end infrastructure design of a fully functional cluster for HPC & AI workloads.
This is a telework position based in the Central US.
Responsibilities
- Configure hardware clusters for HPC & AI workloads using knowledge of Infiniband and Ethernet networking .
- Apply advanced knowledge of company hardware products and infrastructure solutions to translate functional views into technical designs and architect scalable solutions.
- Demonstrate depth of knowledge in one or more solution domains, products, services, and customer environments.
- Develop compelling proposals, review them critically, and manage internal and customer expectations to meet requirements.
- Quantify business impact, position value, and identify strengths and weaknesses of proposed solutions to meet long-term objectives.
- Provide input to global business units on IT trends, gaps, or unmet needs.
- Translate outcome-based solutions into functional designs and scalable technical architectures aligned to customer needs.
- Communicate how solution value propositions address customer needs.
- Track emerging technologies and contribute to industry development through conferences, demos, and events.
- Incorporate customer industry trends and competitive intelligence into account support.
- Drive Account Business Planning with knowledge of industry trends and the customer’s technical environment.
- Engage in deep-dive discussions with the account team to build relationships and advocate technical strategies for transformation.
- Produce comparative analyses of options to meet requirements.
- Develop, configure, and right-size optimal workload solutions balancing cost, scope, scale, and benefits.
- Leverage partner products and services to strengthen proposals and transfer knowledge to external partners for effective delivery.
- Proactively build the pipeline by identifying opportunities within the account and nurture deals from opportunity to close.
- Monitor pipeline, prioritize activities, and participate in sales forecast meetings to accelerate the lifecycle.
- Document ongoing work and share best practices to collaborate effectively with peers and partners.
- Build strong relationships with customer executives and share knowledge with junior team members.
Education and Experience
First-level university technical degree or equivalent; advanced degree preferred.8+ years of IT technical experience with a focus on technical consulting and solution selling.Knowledge-based and / or relevant industry certifications strongly preferred.Enterprise architecture frameworks and project management certifications are helpful but not required.Knowledge and Skills
Experience leading solution configurations, demos, and proofs-of-concept to meet customer requirements.Strong understanding of the company product portfolio and how to combine solutions to meet customer needs.Ability to translate aaS and ecosystem offerings into customer outcomes and prioritize consumption models for maximum value.Understanding of aaS business model variations and cross-functional collaboration for go-to-market goals.Advanced communication skills in English (and applicable local languages as needed).Strong persuasion and consultative selling capabilities with the ability to influence and challenge proposed solutions respectfully.Business and financial acumen including understanding of sales cycles, pipeline, KPIs, and ROI concepts.Proven ability to perform whiteboarding, objection handling, and closing in value-driven sales.Proficiency with CRM systems and standard tools; strong resource management and use of SMEs.Ability to design and deliver product demonstrations and plays for customers, partners, and stakeholders.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with project and time management capabilities.Knowledge of partner offerings and how to leverage them within a go-to-market strategy.Understanding of geo- and partner-related go-to-market strategies and broad knowledge of partner offerings.Pay Range Disclosure
The on-target pay range for this role is USD $148,500.00 – $288,500.00 per year, comprising base salary and target-level sales compensation for sales roles. The breakdown in practice is 80% base salary and 20% target-level incentives. Actual offers vary by location, experience, and qualifications.
