Overview
The Salesforce Systems Administrator is responsible for maintaining, optimizing, and monitoring the performance of the Salesforce platform under regular supervision. This includes creating reports and dashboards, providing ticket support, managing data and system security, and staying up-to-date on the platform's tools, capabilities, and upgrades.

Job Responsibilities
- Maintain Salesforce applications and components (validations, workflows, page layouts, approval processes, user accounts, permission sets, profiles, roles, queues, cases, workflows, and related tasks).
- Create standardized and ad-hoc reports and dashboards; provide proactive and reactive application and data management support.
- Monitor system performance and health; participate in internal audits; assist with upgrades and patches as required.
- Follow data governance policies; use deduplication tools to scrub duplicate or erroneous data; troubleshoot data issues with developers and users.
- Follow security guidelines; collaborate with teams to identify business needs and technical approaches to support initiatives through Salesforce; evaluate integration approaches as directed; use sandbox environments for testing and demonstrations.
- Develop standard operating procedures for data access and analysis; document errors and changes to data objects; maintain archival processes in sync with production; document data requirements with logical diagrams.
- Train and support end users on Salesforce usage; assist in training new users and expand Salesforce skills across the organization.
- Other duties as assigned (typically 5% - 10%).
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs)
Knowledge Of : General understanding of the Salesforce platform with the ability to configure apps / objects, validation rules, formula fields, workflows, and custom views; Salesforce best practices; physical data models and system interfaces; data analysis; PM / CQI / Lean methodologies.Skill In : Strong customer service, excellent interpersonal and written / oral communication, teamwork, problem solving, and data governance skills.Ability To : Balance and prioritize multiple tasks; work collaboratively; synthesize feedback; build relationships; develop technical documentation; navigate multi-tier environments; query relational databases; support a diverse workforce and maintain an inclusive work environment.Qualifications
Selective Preference : Associate's degree plus 1 – 3 years of database administration experience, or equivalent. Preference given to Salesforce administrator experience or Salesforce Administrator certification.
