About the Role
The R.I.S.E. Project Coordinator is a part-time grant funded position reporting to the Director of Grant Development. This position supports students participating in the R.I.S.E. (Resilience, Initiative, Support, and Empowerment) program. R.I.S.E focuses on fostering connections, academic success, and personal development. It creates a welcoming and inclusive peer network that empowers students through shared learning and a strong sense of communityultimately helping improve student retention, completion, and success for approximately 25-30 students. Each student is paired with an Ivy Tech Indianapolis campus faculty / staff mentor. The R.I.S.E. Project Coordinator identifies, implements, and manages events and workshops focused on leadership, academic, and personal development for students per the objectives and goals of the grant. The position also recruits students and mentors from the Ivy Tech Indianapolis campus to participate in the program. In addition, the project coordinator supervises two part time student interns who support the events and workshops. This position is funded through a grant that has been awarded to Ivy Tech Community College. Employment in this position is contingent upon the availability of that grant funding. While the current grant period is until 08 / 31 / 2027, continued funding is not guaranteed. If grant funds are exhausted without confirmation of a forthcoming grant funding extension, this position will be eliminated and employment with the College terminated.
Major Responsibilities
