Director Behavioral Health Systems
The Director of Behavioral Health Systems is focused on the oversight and strategic management of operations in their assigned department(s). This position requires 24 hours / day 7 days / week responsibility. S / he will provide leadership to ensure quality initiatives; customer service and fiscal responsibility are achieved and maintained in the department. S / he functions across the healthcare continuum, interacting and collaborating with other professionals to facilitate optimal outcomes. Meets the requirements of outside agencies to maintain certification, licensure : AZDHS, EMTALA, and other certifying agencies at local, state and federal levels, as deemed appropriate to assigned departments.
Essential Job Functions

- Leading short and long-term strategic initiatives, specific to department director oversees.

Develop and monitor departmental budgets - capital, operational.Adjust resources based on metrics - volume, productivity, cost.Develop business plans related to new services / service lines.Responsible for reviewing / renewing annual contracts for compliance.Knowledge of metrics and outcomes of business unit.Strategic Planning

Accountable for knowing and maintain all areas of compliance - DNV, CMS, etc.Building a culture of continuous improvement around patient and employee safety.Monitor trends related to safety and overseeing improvement - respond with appropriate level of urgency.Role model best practices - confidentiality, HIPAA.Knowledge of key quality metrics specific to departments and NAH - monitors, creates, communicates action plans.Compliance / Safety
Responsible for reporting any safety-related incident in a timely fashion through the Midas / ROE tool; attends all safety-related training programs; performs work in a safe manner; monitors work environment for possible safety issues and ensures others are also performing work in a safe manner.Stays current and complies with state and federal regulations / statutes and company policies that impact the employee's area of responsibility.If required for the position, ensures all certifications and / or licenses are up-to-date and valid prior to expiration dates.Completes all company mandatory modules and required job-specific training in the specified time frame.Core Competencies

Master's Degree - Required
LPC - Licensed Professional Counselor or MSN from an accredited program - Required
Experience
3 - 5 years of relevant management experience in acute care setting - Required
Certification & Licensures
Current, unrestricted Arizona RN, LPC, LMFT, or LCSW Licensure - Required
CPI - Required
BLS (American Heart Association) - Required
Fingerprint Clearance Card - Required
ICS 100, 200, 700 and 800 - Required within 3 months of employment
ICE 100, 200, 700 and 800 - Preferred upon hire
