Your Role At Baxter : The RFP Technical Writer is a technical professional position within the Enterprise Technical & Innovation division. This role serves as the technical and security lead in responding to RFPs and Security Questionnaires across Baxter’s product portfolio. A high level of familiarity with IT environments in the acute care setting is essential. The role requires engaging with internal and external customers to represent the technical aspects of our solutions, and aims to standardize the information exchange to support partnerships and vendor assessment across organizations.

Your Team : This position reports to the Director of Customer Experience & Integrations and is part of a team responsible for overall technology needs.

What You'll Be Doing

• Develop and manage a formal field intake process to support Baxter Request for Pricing (RFPs).
• Oversee the development of proposals and / or other documents describing Baxter products and services in response to requests from prospective clients and / or current clients when up for renewal.
• Analyze and understand the requirements of RFPs, RFIs, and Security Questionnaires and plan and craft responses that adequately meet the requirements.
• Write and edit proposals for readability, consistency, and appropriate tone describing company capabilities, management approach, and past performance.
• Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts and corporate personnel to develop and write technical and management content for responses compliant with proposal requests.
• Collaborate with other departments including Marketing, Sales, Legal, Technology, and other experts to produce high-quality, accurate responses and maintain the RFP database with FAQs, technical, legal, and security product answers.
• Analyze data to ensure relevancy of past performance materials to current requirements.
• Coordinate all information in the format requested in the RFP and according to Company standards.
• Edit and proofread proposals and related materials to ensure accuracy, clarity, readability, and consistency with company guidelines and standards.
• Collaborate with Corporate Leadership to develop proposal strategy, identify improvements, solutions, and themes that support a winning strategy.
• Take end-to-end project management responsibility, meeting proposal deadlines by setting priorities and target dates for information gathering, writing, review, and approval.
• Maintain files of all RFPs and completed proposals and presentations.
• Contribute new and updated content from completed proposals to a content library.
• Assist in special projects requested by the Enterprise Technology & Innovation organization.
• Performs other duties as assigned by management.

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. Baxter is committed to equitable pay for all employees and strives to be transparent with pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $80,000 to $110,000 annually. The range reflects an anticipated salary; actual pay is based on location, skills, experience, and other relevant factors. This position may be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
