Job Title : Maintenance Technician

Job Description

As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for working on equipment such as overhead cranes, slitters, and cutters. You will maintain and check the performance of machinery, conduct preventive maintenance, and repair or replace damaged parts as necessary. The position involves 60% electrical and 40% mechanical work, with breakdowns primarily electrical and repairs more mechanical in nature.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and check the performance of overhead cranes, slitters, and cutters.
• Perform preventive maintenance and fix damaged parts.
• Conduct major repairs as necessary.
• Handle both proactive and reactive maintenance tasks.
• Perform common repairs on hydraulics, pneumatics, and fabrication.

Work Environment

Work in a steel processing facility that is not climate-controlled but is maintained to be relatively clean for its type. The position is on the first shift, running from 6am to 2pm, Monday-Friday.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Butler, Indiana .

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00 / hr.
