Part-Time Communications Specialist

Beacon Hill is hiring! We have partnered with a healthcare company in hiring a part-time Communications Specialist to start immediately. This role is fully remote for 15-20 hours per week.

The Part-Time Communications Specialist will support the company's internal and external communication efforts through high-quality writing, editing, and content creation. This role focuses heavily on copywriting - crafting clear, engaging, and brand-aligned messaging across digital, print, and social channels. The ideal candidate is a skilled storyteller with a keen eye for detail and a passion for communicating effectively with diverse audiences.

Key Responsibilities

Write and edit compelling copy for newsletters, websites, social media, press releases, email campaigns, and marketing materials.

Collaborate with internal teams to develop consistent messaging aligned with brand tone and strategy.

Assist in developing content calendars and scheduling communications to ensure timely delivery.

Proofread and edit materials for clarity, grammar, and style consistency.

Support the creation of internal communications, announcements, and presentations as needed.

Monitor engagement metrics and recommend improvements for content effectiveness.

Maintain digital content libraries and assist in updating website or intranet copy.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, English, or a related field preferred.

2+ years of experience in copywriting, content creation, or communications.

Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills with attention to voice and tone.

Familiarity with digital marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, Hootsuite, WordPress, or similar).

Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Creative thinker who can adapt content for different audiences and mediums.
