Overview
Business Tax Services – Passthrough Transactions Group Consulting – Senior at EY. Location : Anywhere in the country.
Responsibilities
- Work in small groups on projects with internal or external clients.
- Collaborate with national subject matter professionals in the design and execution of complex, large-scale partnership transactions for significant clients.
- Develop an understanding of Subchapter K, partnership modeling, and joint venture structuring.
- Work with National Tax Department (NTD) Managers, Senior Managers, Partners / Principals on on-call consulting opportunities, write Tax Alerts and Developments, and teach courses.
- Gain experience in structuring partnership transactions and build broad knowledge in Subchapter K to support Advisory Services practices.
Skills and Attributes for Success
Assist in the preparation of financial models and other tools for various financial transactions (asset acquisitions, dispositions, capital structure transformations, corporate reorganizations).Apply corporate finance principles to assess economic implications of deal structures.Prepare reports and client presentations.Work at all levels of transaction structuring and execution, from evaluating alternative structures to closing.Compile documentation related to analyses.Provide high-quality, time-sensitive service meeting client expectations.Qualifications
Bachelor's degree (Accounting, Finance, Economics, Operations Research, Financial Engineering or Statistics preferred).Minimum of 3 years of work experience in professional services or professional tax organization.CPA certification or membership in The Bar.Strong technical writing skills.Broad exposure to federal income taxation, with emphasis on partnership taxation.Flexible and willing to travel; able to work beyond standard hours when necessary.Proficient with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).Ideally You'll Also Have
Ability to learn and work independently with minimal supervision.Analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong organization and time management; ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.What We Look For
