Our impact increases exponentially as we address one specific, community-identified need each year, in each GreenLight site.  To date, we have brought 55 evidence-based portfolio organizations across 14 sites, invested $41M, and attracted an additional $320M from other funding sources, reaching over 1.3M individuals and families this past year alone.

To learn more about the GreenLight Fund, please visit www.greenlightfund.org .  Position Overview We are seeking an independent, proactive, and highly organized Coordinator who is passionate about expanding opportunities for children and families in the Bay Area.

This position will report to the Vice President of Site Success and Executive Director of GreenLight Fund Bay Area (a single, dual-role position) and play a key role in supporting a growing local team while collaborating with GreenLight Fund’s national network of sites.  The ideal candidate is deeply committed to equity and opportunity for all, brings strong attention to detail, and enjoys working on complex issues across functions.

We are looking for someone who is energized by continuous process improvement, values operational excellence, and wants to contribute meaningfully to a mission-driven organization making a measurable impact in local communities.  As the engine behind our site’s internal operations, the Coordinator plays a key role in keeping GreenLight Bay Area’s work on track by managing logistics across our grantmaking cycles, coordinating communications and development efforts, and ensuring strong systems that support our team’s day-to-day effectiveness and long-term impact.

Key Areas of Responsibility Programmatic Support Support research on current, relevant Bay Area social issues and priorities facing historically underserved children, youth and families with barriers to social and economic mobility.

Coordinate and prepare for Selection Advisory Council meetings and site visits, including scheduling, logistics, and the development of presentations, agendas, research briefs, and other supportive materials.

Maintain organized documentation and systems throughout the selection cycle, using tools like Google Drive, Salesforce, and Box (experience with these tools is a plus, but not required).  Communications Draft updates to key audiences, including Selection Advisory Council members, investors, and community partners.  Maintain GreenLight Fund Bay Area’s website and social media presence (Facebook) and create content for newsletters and blog posts.   Support planning and execution of annual launch events and press releases, showcasing our newest portfolio organizations and impact.

Development & Investor Relations Support execution of GreenLight Fund Bay Area’s donor stewardship plan, including  scheduling and outreach tracking.  Maintain up-to-date donor records in Salesforce (experience is a plus, but not required) and assist with gift tracking, acknowledgments, and grant proposal / report writing.  Conduct prospect research on potential Bay Area donors / investors, including individuals, corporations and foundations.

Operations & Team Coordination Manage monthly expense reporting and general administrative tasks to support smooth day-to-day operations.

Coordinate and prepare for weekly team meetings and other internal planning touchpoints.

Contribute to ongoing efforts to improve internal systems and workflows across GreenLight Fund Bay Area.  Other tasks as assigned.

Requirements Minimum of 1 to 4 years of related experience.  Location This position is based in GreenLight Fund Bay Area.

Applicants who do not meet location requirements will not be considered.  Compensation and Benefits The salary for this position is $57,000.
