Staff Accountant

We are looking for a highly motivated Staff Accountant to join our team in Youngstown, Ohio. In this Contract-to-Permanent role, you will play a key part in maintaining the financial health of our manufacturing operations by preparing reports, reconciling accounts, and supporting financial planning processes. Responsibilities :

Prepare and post journal entries to ensure accurate and timely financial records.

Reconcile general ledger accounts and bank statements to maintain financial accuracy.

Assist in the preparation of financial statements in compliance with established accounting standards.

Conduct detailed account analysis and resolve discrepancies promptly.

Support accounts payable and receivable functions to ensure smooth cash flow operations.

Collaborate on budgeting and forecasting processes to aid in strategic planning.

Maintain and update fixed asset schedules to support accurate reporting.

Provide documentation and schedules during audits to ensure compliance.

Develop and refine accounting policies and procedures to improve efficiency.

Perform additional accounting duties as assigned to support team goals.

Requirements :

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

A minimum of 1-3 years of accounting experience, including internships.

Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software such as QuickBooks or NetSuite.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in work.

Effective organizational and time-management skills.

Ability to work independently and thrive in a collaborative team environment.
