As a Warehouse Associate, you'll work collaboratively with a fun and vibrant warehouse team to prepare and / or package top quality produce and groceries! As a Warehouse Associate, you are the heart of the company because you fulfill customer orders. Your work puts delicious, local food in our customer's homes. Our Fulfillment Center operations has multiple departments all working together as a team to fulfill customers' orders on time and to the highest standard. Flexibility to perform different duties around the warehouse at any given time is required for this role.

Our warehouse is operational 24 / 7 Monday - Sunday. We are looking for people to fill our 11am-4pm shift, between 3-5 days per week. Pursuant to the Oakland Fair Chance Ordinance, we consider employment for qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.

Duties & Responsibilities

• INBOUND (RECEIVING)
• Greet vendors and check that all product matches what is on the invoice
• Communicate with the assortment team to report any discrepancies on invoices
• Receive produce, meat sortation
• Break down pallets in order to enter product into WMS
• Operate Order Pickers / Forklifts to stow received goods
• INVENTORY CONTROL AND QUALITY CONTROL
• Inventory cycle counts and FIFO procedures
• Fix any inventory errors and report
• Report inventory errors through proper channels to each department
• Communicate quality feedback to internal teams and work to find creative solutions to reduce waste
• Maintain quality of service by following operational and safety standards
• OUTBOUND (PRODUCTION & REPLENISHMENT)
• Actively working in different temperature zones
• Operate joey, order-picker, and forklift (Forklift Certification Preferred)
• Pulling product from back stock
• Preparing product for front stock
• Packaging & portioning, including weighing and separating product, marking with identifying information
• Produce quality assurance
• Maintain a clean and sanitized area
• Maintain quality of service by following operational standards
• FULFILLMENT (PICK & SHIP)
• Pick orders, working to meet set order delivery deadlines.
• Use and adapt to current and changing technology to read and pick orders.
• Pack groceries, drinks, alcoholic beverages, paper goods, etc.
• Ability to lift and carry between 30 - 50 pounds.
• Push or pull racks filled with grocery orders weighing between 30 to 50 pounds.
• Champion accuracy in everything you do.
