With two heavily automated operational sites and plans for two more, to support their continued growth, they are expanding into the pharmaceutical sector and launching an in-house brand. The company is seeking a Production Manager to lead this pivotal growth phase and manage the new facility in Los Angeles. This is an integral role for the company and offers significant career progression and growth opportunities.
Position Summary
As the Production Manager, you will be responsible for building out and managing a new, heavily automated manufacturing facility in California alongside an already established site. This role involves setting up production, establishing vendor relationships, and overseeing CAPEX projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Facility Development : Lead the construction, equipment setup, and commissioning of the new automated manufacturing site. Oversee purchasing for capital expenditure (CAPEX) projects, ensuring strategic investments.
- Production Management : Ensure all production meets safety, quality, and industry-specific regulatory standards. Initiate continuous improvement strategies to drive productivity and quality enhancement.
- Leadership and Team Development : Promote a culture of accountability and high performance across teams. Provide leadership in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment similar to a startup.
- Cross-Functional and Global Collaboration : Maintain availability to coordinate with international operations in Europe and China. Contribute to OTC and pharmaceutical product development initiatives.
- Strategic Expansion : Support future facility builds, including a fourth site planned for next year. Assist in launching and managing projects related to the company's new in-house brand and explore celebrity partnerships.
Qualifications
5-10 years of experience in production management, with a focus on personal care or pharmaceutical manufacturing.Demonstrated success in building and managing new manufacturing facilities.Experience managing CAPEX projects and vendor relationships.Need experience working for a contract manufacturer.Strong leadership and team-building capabilities.Ability to think on your feet and act decisively without creating drama.Proficient in handling high-pressure environments and rapid growth challenges.Experience with regulatory compliance and automated manufacturing systems.Interest and experience in launching products and new brands.Why Join Our Client
