Legacy Talent Search is currently seeking candidates for a Senior Maintenance Mechanic role in Portland, OR. Our client is a well-established industry leader known for innovation and a commitment to delivering the highest Our quality products. With a focus on continuous improvement, they pride themselves on maintaining excellence at every stage of their manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance on conveyor and sorter systems, forklifts, racking, lighting, fire protection, plumbing, and other warehouse / office equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues to keep operations running efficiently.
  • Maintain detailed logs and accurate records of all maintenance activities.
  • Safely complete work orders assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor / Manager in a timely manner.
  • Occasionally perform light janitorial or facility-related tasks as needed.
  • Foster open and effective communication across departments to support smooth operations.
  • Adhere to safety protocols, including hazard communication, lockout / tagout, and emergency procedures.

Qualifications :

  • 5–7 years of experience maintaining warehouse or industrial equipment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with proficiency using hand and power tools.
  • Intermediate computer skills with the ability to log and track work accurately.
  • Solid knowledge of safety practices and emergency procedures.
  • Physical ability to climb ladders, stand for extended periods, move freely throughout the facility, and regularly lift / carry up to 40+ pounds.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to adapt in a dynamic environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
