Service Advisor / Service Manager

Qualifications :

• Must like to work with people.
• Must always conduct every aspect of the job in an ethical manner.
• Previous automotive experience required.
• Previous management experience, preferably in automotive.
• Cash handling experience preferred.

Some common responsibilities of a service advisor / service manager include :

• Greet customers and assess their vehicle service needs.
• Providing recommendations for necessary repairs and maintenance.
• Estimating costs for services and obtaining customer approval.
• Scheduling service appointments and coordinating with the service department.
• Keeping customers informed of the status of their vehicle and any delays.
• Explaining the work performed and answering any questions or concerns.
• Selling additional services or products that may benefit the customer.
• Handling customer complaints and ensuring their satisfaction.
• Maintaining accurate records of customer interactions and service history.
• Collaborating with the service team to ensure efficient and timely service delivery.
• Working with outside vendors.
• Receiving, ordering, adjusting, and controlling inventory.
• Monitor, dispatch, and adjust workflow based on volume and technician availability.

A successful service advisor / service manager should have excellent communication and customer service skills. Additionally, organizational abilities and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential for this role.
