Receptionist / Access Control Specialist

SA-TECH is currently looking to hire a Receptionist / Access Control Specialist at NAS Oceana (Virginia Beach, VA) to provide receptionist services for our facilities and the safeguarding of sensitive information IAW local Work Instructions. This position reports to the Site Security Representative. Specific duties include :

• Answer incoming calls, direct callers to requested persons, take phone messages and track personnel who enter / exit the facility using the Visitor's Log.
• Control building access and perform physical security checks as required.
• Issue badges to cleared contractor employees, Government employees, and to visitors who have a valid Visit Authorization Request (VAR) on file.
• Caution visitors against the possession of prohibited materials.
• Maintain a current access roster.
• Maintain a detailed log of all personnel entering or leaving the facilities.
• Maintain sentry posts as required.
• Must be capable of comprehending and implementing instructions concerning the operation of mechanical equipment such as generators, air conditioners, fire protection equipment, and other emergency equipment.
• May be required to operate motor vehicles in order to patrol assigned areas.
• May be required to visually check vehicles entering restricted areas.
• Perform other routine clerical work such as recording and transmitting messages, providing information to callers, and making appointments.
• May assist the Supply Technician with inventory and purchasing.
• Perform all other position-related duties as assigned or requested.
