Operations Manager

JOB SUMMARY :

• Adams Outdoor Advertising (AOA), the 4th largest and largest private Outdoor Advertising firm in the U.S., is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to direct and oversee the operational areas of the market assuring maximum utilization of operations resources to meet Company objectives.   ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF POSITION INCLUDE :     Plans, organizes, and controls the entire operation staff.   Provides management leadership to employees to accomplish an effective and progressive resource for the organization.   Analyzes and resolves any operational performance deficiencies in the department.  Recommends and assists the General Manager in defining policies, procedures, and standards regarding overall operational performance.  Ensures the capital needs of the department match the strategic short and long term goals of the market.  Oversees the hiring, training, evaluating, development, and discipline of a motivated staff to carry out operational functions.  Is responsible for the quality control of all production activity, postings, bulletins, new construction, maintenance, and repairs.  Works with Corporate Director of Operations to resolve any administrative, operational or technical deficiencies.  Sets departmental goals for construction, service, and the maintenance company sign structures.  Is responsible to the policies, procedures and guidelines of the company ensure compliance without exception.  Monitors the activities and expenses in relation to capital budget.  Ensures employees are in complete compliance with all company policies, procedures, and guidelines as well as OSHA and DOT requirements.  Ensures a safe work environment as a core focus when executing departmental objectives.  Protects company assets at all times including the maintenance and cleanliness of company trucks, buildings, shops, grounds and equipment.  Travels as required.  Perform other functions as assigned by General Manager or designated supervisor.    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :   High School degree or Bachelor’s degree in Business or a closely related field.   Five years operational management experience.  Strong management, written and oral communication and organizational skills.  Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.  Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record.  Willingness and ability to travel as required.  Billboard experience preferred.   Vegetation control experience.   Electrical knowledge.  Construction background preferred.     ADAMS OUTDOOR ADVERTISING :   AOA, founded in 1983 by Steve Adams, is the 4th largest, and largest privately-held, Outdoor Advertising operator in the U.S..
