Mold Changer pay rate is $18, regular hours are from 6am -2pm however, they must be available to stay over as needed.

Position : Mold Technician

Location : Cherryville, NC

Shift : 1st Shift (6 : 00 AM - 2 : 00 PM)

Pay Rate : $18.00 per hour

Job Overview :

We are seeking a reliable Mold Technician to join our team. This position involves a range of duties related to the inspection, maintenance, and handling of molds used in our production processes. If you have experience with mold handling and a strong attention to detail, we would love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities :

Mold Inspection : Inspect molds for defects, wear, and cleanliness.

Preventive Maintenance : Perform regular maintenance on molds to ensure they are in optimal condition.

Mold Removal & Installation : Safely remove and install molds on presses as required.

Mold Preparation : Prepare molds as necessary for production runs.

Mold Organization : Organize molds in storage to ensure they are accessible and in good condition.

Component Replacement : Install and replace key components, including fill injectors, ejectors, air lines, and bead hoses.

Training : Participate in training activities to improve skills and stay current with best practices.

Safety Compliance : Follow Lockout / Tagout (LOTO) procedures to ensure a safe working environment.

Equipment Inspection : Inspect ladders, step stools, and hoists to ensure they are in good working order.

Cross-Department Support : Assist in other areas as needed to support plant operations.

Form Completion : Accurately complete required forms and documentation related to mold maintenance activities.

Required Qualifications :

Relevant experience in mold handling or maintenance.

Basic hand tools and equipment familiarity.

Forklift Certification.

Lockout / Tagout Certification (LOTO).

Ability to read and write.

Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions.

Comfortable climbing ladders and working at height.

Additional Information :

This position requires physical stamina and the ability to perform manual labor tasks safely. Mold Technicians must be adaptable and willing to assist in other areas as needed, ensuring the smooth operation of the plant.
