Welder

Location : Sanford

Hours : Monday through Friday 7 a.m- 3 : 30 p.m

Pay : $16-$20 / hr or more DOE

Duties & Responsibilities

• Acts as a lead welder on assignments
• Has passed all company-required AWS Welder Certification needed to perform a broad range of welding assignments.
• Demonstrated consistent ability to weld in all positions in both GMAW and GTAW.
• Client out, position, align, and secure parts and assemblies prior to assembly, using straightedges, combination squares, and tape measures.
• Communicate on job status with shop and office personnel in both written and verbal forms.
• Perform quality checks on one's own work and lower-level welders.
• Strong ability to use various hand power tools to accomplish assignments.
• Operating Vehicles or Equipment, running, maneuvering, navigating, or driving vehicles or mechanized equipment, such as forklifts, passenger vehicles.
• Maintain areas for cleanliness and safety practices.
• Interact with team members and other departments in a professional manner.
• Assists in formulating departmental strategic plan on assignments including material cut lists and required tooling and fixturing.
• Works assignments with a sense of urgency to obtain efficiency of operations and maximize profits.
• Ability to perform minor repairs to welding equipment.
• Maybe asked to fill supervisory responsibilities for short periods of time.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
• May be asked to work second or third shifts
