Financial Program Analyst

Location : Dam Neck (Virginia Beach), VA (On-Site / Office)

Clearance Type : Secret

Responsibilities (including but not limited to) :

• Reconcile commitments and obligations in support of the validation of accounting transactions by working with departments, Contracts, Accounting, and Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS).
• Reconcile expenses, accruals and accounts payable in support of the validation of accounting transactions by working with departments, Contracts, Accounting, and DFAS.
• Perform research and perform analysis of detailed transactions and reports for corrections of erroneous charges to include complex calculations of high visibility tasks.
• Work with Accounting to ensure programs are in compliance with Department of Navy (DoN), Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA), and local instructions.
• Keep files in order and fax / scan documents to include all Accounting programs.
• Work with DFAS to review validation requests for "Invoice Pre-Validation". Upon review of the requests the Contractor will report findings supporting the acceptance or rejection to the Government accounting official to respond to DFAS.
• Support the command overhead and service cost center budget preparation, execution tracking, and reporting through data extraction via the financial system of record and data warehouse.
• Support weekly and monthly reporting and / or analysis.
• Provide support to update and manage reporting formats for the command weekly and monthly budget execution reports.
