Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education, Special Education, or a related field, active Deaf & Hard of Hearing (DHH) certification, and 1+ years Deaf & Hard of Hearing Specialist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A high school self-contained classroom is seeking a dedicated educator specializing in Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) instruction. This contract role focuses on delivering personalized education to students who are deaf or hard of hearing and possess additional learning needs.
Responsibilities include :
Candidates must hold valid Illinois certification as a Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher and demonstrate proficiency in ASL. Experience working with high school students across a spectrum of abilities is essential.
