Experience with HR / HCM and Learning Ecosystem Solutions : You have extensive experience with HR and HCM systems and LMS ecosystems, driving effective integrations that fit into existing frameworks.

Proficiency in Python (Django), Java, Modern JS Frameworks (Angular, React) : You develop robust applications and integration solutions using Django, Angular, and React to their fullest potential.

Knowledge of Microservices Architecture : You design and implement independent services to enhance performance, reliability, and efficiency.

Understanding of Data Structures, Algorithms, and IaaS Architecture : You leverage data structures, algorithms, and IaaS platforms like AWS to create scalable solutions.

Familiarity with Authentication Protocols : You understand SAML, SCIM, OAuth, web APIs, and related security practices for secure integrations.

About this role

Udemy seeks a Sales and Solutions Engineer with strong communication and organizational skills, software development knowledge, and a passion for helping businesses become modern learning organizations to support our business in India. The role involves collaborating with engineering, design, sales, customer success, support, and global stakeholders. You will address technical issues, from authentication protocols (e.g., SAML, OIDC, SCIM, OAuth) to corporate web proxy debugging and API-based integration support for enterprise customers. Knowledge of security protocols and data privacy is a plus. This role requires effective communication with both technical and non-technical audiences and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.

What you'll be doing

Serve as technical subject matter expert for customers and internal teams on all aspects of integration between Udemy Business and other SaaS applications; e.g., via Web Single Sign-On, API-based integrations, external analytics, and reporting data streams.

Create documentation such as code samples, integration articles and tutorials for technical and non-technical audiences.

Create / Manage open source projects in partnerships with Sales and Solutions Engineer colleagues.

Become a key contributor to Udemy's community engagement for our UB customers.

Implement and document solutions that leverage Udemy Business Web Services (REST APIs and xAPIs) with 3rd party SaaS applications.

Support partners with use case definition, technical architecture, solutioning and deployment of Udemy Business within their business models and tech stack.

Collaborate with Solutions Engineering, Product Engineering, Legal, Info Security teams to improve our integration services and product security messaging.

What you'll have

Experience working with HR / HCM and Learning ecosystem solutions.

6-8+ years in enterprise Sales Engineering or Solution Consulting in a SaaS environment.

Technical experience with :

Python (Django), Java, modern JS frameworks (Angular, React)

Experience with microservices.

Understanding of data structures and algorithms.

Working knowledge of Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) such as AWS.

Experience with SQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, PL / SQL).

Solid understanding of authentication protocols (SAML 2.0, SCIM, OAuth / OpenID Connect), Web APIs, SMTP, DNS, and debugging web applications.

Passionate about leveraging AI and machine learning to drive innovation for prospects and customers; opportunity to work with genAI technologies to achieve business outcomes with Udemy Business.

Excellent written and verbal communication with a track record of overcoming technical and security objections.

Understanding of core security concepts (SSL / TLS, encryption ciphers, data privacy).

Hands-on experience architecting or deploying SSO with SAML 2.0, OIDC, SCIM, AD / LDAP, OAuth 2 across identity solutions (Okta, Azure AD, PingFederate, OneLogin).

Compensation : We strive to be transparent around compensation. The role offers a base salary plus equity and uncapped OTE. OTE range : $217,000 — $256,000 USD.
