Job Description

McFarland Clinic is currently accepting applications for CMA / LPN / RN for its Adult Medicine department in Ames. Candidates should be service-oriented, a team player, and be able to provide extraordinary care, every day to our patients.

Responsibilities include : Rooming patients, taking vitals and patient history, patient interaction in-person, on my chart and on the phone, medication refills. Two positions, one primarily with Dr. Doolittle and one primarily with Dr. Gerstner.

Education

  • Graduate from an accredited program for Medical Assistants
  • Graduate of accredited school of nursing

Certification / License

  • Certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or certification as a Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) from American Medical Technologists (AMT), NAHP, NCCT, NHA
  • Possession of current State Licensed Practical Nurse license
  • Possession of a current State Registered Nurse license.
  • Current Basic Life Support certification for Health Care Providers.

    • Days : Monday & Tuesday; flexible Wednesday, Thursday & Friday job share

    Hours : Monday 8 AM - Noon, Tuesday 8 : 00 AM - 5 : 00 PM. Job Share Wednesday - Friday

    Experience

  • Clinic experience preferred.
  • EMR experience preferred.

    • Pre-employment drug screen and criminal history background checks are a condition of hire.
