The City of Santa Barbara is seeking a Public Safety Dispatcher. This position offers a competitive salary range of $75,241 - $82,952 annually, with additional monthly benefits for EMD Certification. The role includes career path opportunities, incentives, and a comprehensive benefits package.

The responsibilities of this position include answering and processing emergency and non-emergency requests, operating a Computer Aided Dispatch system, and providing basic first aid during medical emergencies. The Combined Communications Center is a 24-hour facility where incumbents must be available to work various shifts, including weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts.

Employment standards require the ability to follow instructions, communicate effectively, and operate a computer terminal. Desirable qualifications include experience as an emergency communications operator or similar position, completion of specific training courses, and bilingual skills.
