High school diploma or equivalent Current EMT-P certification (state and / or national) Valid Driver’s License with an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) in accordance with TRAA policy. Current CPR Certification (AHA or equivalent) ACLS, AMLS, PHTLS, and PEPP (or equivalent) AAS preferred, but not required Work a minimum of one full shift per week 48 hours a pay period. Two weekend shifts per month A weekend shift is defined as a Friday evening through Sunday evening shift Two Spring and three Fall holidays Spring Holidays : New Years Day, Martin Luther King Jr Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July Fall Holidays : Labor Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve One of the worked holidays must be July Fourth, Thanksgiving or Christmas day Must be able to successfully pass Physical Agility Test Able to frequently lift and / or carry weights exceeding 100 pounds. Works outdoors and indoors with occasional exposure to hazardous conditions and to blood / body fluids Preforms duties and responsibilities within confined and mobile spaces

Summary :
A Paramedic is accountable for responding to all assigned calls and providing advanced life support care to patients within their scope of practice and standing orders.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Assess and treat patients using appropriate techniques, equipment, and clinical judgment, while adhering to established protocols and maintaining the highest standard of ALS care
- Operate emergency vehicles safely and within regulations.
- Document activities regarding patient care and billing completely and accurately to ensure appropriate information is available regarding each call
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, healthcare professionals, and other emergency personnel.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
- Attend and complete all required continuing education (CE) or training assignments on a monthly basis
