job_description.job_card.job_descriptionOct 16 Oct 18 (AM) Oct 23 Oct 30 Nov 1 (AM) Nov 6 Nov 10 (AM) Nov 21 Nov 23 (11 : 00 AM) Nov 27 Dec 2 (AM) Patient Demographics : Obstetric and Gynecologic patients Patient Volume / Census : 8 10 deliveries per month; Admissions : Yes Rounding : Included Phone Consults : Yes Case Mix : Low and occasional high-risk pregnancies, C-sections, gynecologic surgeries EMR System : Epic Office Equipment Available : Standard OB / GYN clinic and hospital resources Specialty Backup Available : 2 OBGYNs, RN, MA; C-section assist when on call Support Staff Available : RNs, MAs Reason for Coverage : Supplemental coverage Hospital Privileges Required : Yes Credentialing Timeline : Case logs required; days typical Immunization Requirements : Must meet contagious disease workforce immunity requirements; offsite drug screen required within 14 days of start Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance : Lodging covered up to $132 / day; rental car up to $40 / day; malpractice covered Routine and complicated vaginal deliveries Cesarean sections Low forceps deliveries Breech and multiple births Repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations OB ultrasound performance and interpretation (Level I and II) Gynecologic surgeries (D&C, hysterectomy, uterine suspension, anterior / posterior repair, tumor resection) Laparoscopic diagnostic / minor (tubal ligation, LOA s, chromal tubation) Operative / major laparoscopic procedures (ectopic pregnancy, ovary removal, cystectomy) Licenses : Eligible for NM medical license Board : BC / BE in OB / GYN; must be certified or actively pursuing certification by ABOG DEA : Active DEA required Certifications : Not specified, BLS / ACLS typically expected Experience : At least 1 year; case logs required (50 vaginal deliveries, 20 C-sections, 25 gynecologic surgical procedures in past 12 months) Other Qualifications : Proficiency with Epic EMR Provide inpatient and outpatient obstetric and gynecologic care Perform routine and complex deliveries, including C-sections Manage high-risk and low-risk pregnancies Conduct gynecologic surgeries as credentialed Collaborate with hospital staff and fellow OBGYNs to ensure continuity of care Participate in night and weekend call coverage Interpret fetal heart rate and conduct ultrasounds Document patient care accurately in Epic EMR
