This is a professional position that requires the ability to analyze data and understand the accounting and budget processes and procedures, analyze, and interpret financial data from all aspects of the accounting cycle, and connect the accounting data within programs and operations related to the budget / financial structure.

Responsibilities include :

• Ability to work independently and as a part of a team, attention to detail and resourcefulness in determining the true nature of discrepancies are a must.
• Perform independent and complex accounting functions involving local funds and governmental funds, that requires the ability to analyze data and understand accounting reconciliations, establish and maintaining of allotments and encumbrances of assigned contracts, including monitoring Fixed Capital Outlay contracts, and process Journal Transfers.
• Responsible for the application of independent accounting, research, auditing, and analytical skills with the ability to identify, evaluate, and resolve problems, coordinates with budget managers, accounting staff, and other offices and assists them in auditing data, ensuring corrections are completed accurately and making recommendations as appropriate.
