Job Summary

The Department of Parks, Recreation and Community Services is currently recruiting qualified applicants for the position of Head Lifeguards - Full Time at the Ashburn Recreation and Community Center, which is scheduled to open in 2025. The ideal candidate will have experience in lifeguarding, a solid understanding of pool chemistry, and expertise in pump room operations. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills are imperative, along with a commitment to promoting water safety and ensuring enjoyable aquatic experiences. The Recreation Center will boast a competition pool, a leisure pool, a children's play area, a hot tub, and an outdoor splash pad.

We are currently hiring for the following location(s) :

• Ashburn Recreation and Community Center, Ashburn, VA

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :

Hiring salary is commensurate with experience.

Minimum Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent. One (1) year of direct aquatics experience including aquatics programming and pool facility management, working with the public, groups, and organizations.

Job Contingencies and Special Requirements

Must undergo criminal, credit, DMV, and reference checks. Red Cross or equivalent Lifeguard Certification. First Aid Certification. Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certification at time of hire. Loudoun County approved Pool Operator Certification.
