Compensation : $105,000 - $115,000 Annually, dependent on experience

Role Summary
Tessera is seeking a talented and dependable Electrical Engineer to support the Base Maintenance Contract at the U.S. Air Force Academy. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of electrical systems across campus facilities. From designing and upgrading power distribution and lighting systems to leading diagnostics and inspections, your work will directly support mission-critical infrastructure. Your commitment to excellence, attention to detail, and collaborative spirit will be deeply valued as you help drive energy efficiency and uphold the highest standards of safety and performance.
Responsibilities
Design, maintain, and upgrade electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, generators, and controls across campus facilitiesManage electrical renovations and installations in compliance with DoD standards, UFC, NEC, OSHA, and Air Force regulationsServe as the liaison between engineers and shop craftsmen to ensure smooth communication and project executionCollaborate with civil, mechanical, and environmental engineers on integrated infrastructure projectsLead energy efficiency initiatives through smart grid technologies and automation systemsMaintain accurate technical documentation for audits, planning, and asset lifecycle managementConduct in-house designs and analyze technical data to support small-scale projects and infrastructure planningLead asset inventory, condition assessments, and reliability processes including RCA and PM optimizationIdentify, prioritize, and manage repair and recapitalization projects with clear job planningCommunicate effectively with leadership, uphold ethical standards, and deliver high-quality results to stakeholdersQualifications
BS in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) from an ABET accredited university3-5 years experience in electrical engineering, preferably with mechanical, civil, or facilities engineering sectorsExpertise in power distribution, lighting systems, and direct digital controls for automationProficient in communication, data, security, and fire alarm system integrationExperienced in project management, cost estimating, and lifecycle asset planning for construction and retrofitsStrong analytical and communication skills for effective coordination and reporting across base operationsPhysical Requirements
