Our client, a leading gas and welding supply distributor, is seeking a Service Technician to join their team. As a Service Technician, you will be part of the Service and Rental department supporting a diverse range of equipment and clients. This position would troubleshoot malfunctioning electrical welding units as well as inspect returned rental equipment. The technician will work on a variety of equipment including : MIG, TIG, and Stick welders, Plasma Cutters, Robotics, and diesel and gas engine driven welders and generators.

Job Title : Service (Equipment Repair) Technician

Location : Plymouth, MN

Pay Range :   $23 - $30 / hour

Position Type : 4 Month Contract-to-Hire

Shift : Monday through Friday, typical shifts start between 7am – 9am and work until 3 : 30 – 5 : 30.

What's the Job?

• Diagnose mechanical and / or electronic problems in welding equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and tests on welders.
• Repair wiring and electronic components as needed.
• Read schematics, order parts, and install components efficiently.
• Provide warranty service on various welding brands including Lincoln and Miller.
