The Healthcare Construction Plan Reviewer is responsible for evaluating electronic construction drawings and specifications for healthcare facilities to ensure compliance with the Facility Guidelines Institute (FGI) standards and NFPA 101 : Life Safety Code. This role plays a critical part in safeguarding patient safety, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency in healthcare environments.
Key Responsibilities
Required Skills :
Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
Experience in healthcare facility plan review or code compliance.
Proficiency in electronic plan review software (e.g., Revit Autodesk).
In-depth knowledge of FGI Guidelines for the Design and Construction of Health Care Facilities
In-depth knowledge of NFPA 101
Familiarity with ASHRAE requirements (American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air-Conditioning Engineers)
Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
Experience with Joint Commission or CMS standards.
Ability to interpret functional programs and clinical workflows in design.
