Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Tech Site

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Tech Site in Bessemer, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech / Media / Telecom, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer in a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and fostering a welcoming environment. Your visible presence and routine patrols support a secure atmosphere while delivering exceptional customer service and communication. Pay Rate : $17.46 / Hour

Job Schedule :

DayTimeMon 02 : 00 PM - 10 : 00 PM

Thur 02 : 00 PM - 10 : 00 PM

Fri 02 : 00 PM - 10 : 00 PM

Sat 02 : 00 PM - 10 : 00 PM

Sun 02 : 00 PM - 10 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including both the business areas and perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry or suspicious activity.
  • Document observations and report incidents according to established protocols.
  • Work collaboratively with Allied Universal team members and on-site personnel to address security-related needs specific to a tech and media environment.

  • Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Experience in loss prevention is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
  • A valid guard card or license is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
