📍 Location : Peoria, IL Grade Level : 21 📅 Schedule : Primarily 1st shift, with flexibility to support all shifts, including nights and weekends as needed.
Join our team as a Training Coordinator and play a critical role in developing, supporting, and retaining our workforce in a unionized manufacturing environment. If you're passionate about coaching employees, driving compliance, and helping new hires succeed, this is the role for you!
What You'll Do :
✅ Ensure compliance with training standards, SOPs, and documentation requirements.
✅ Track and support 20-40 new hires during their probationary period, focusing on engagement, retention, and success.
✅ Conduct at-risk behavior assessments and provide coaching to address safety and performance concerns.
✅ Act as the primary point of contact for new hires , answering questions and guiding them through their onboarding journey.
✅ Deliver annual and required compliance trainings for employees.
✅ Obtain and maintain "train-the-trainer" certifications as needed.
✅ Partner with HR and leadership by providing feedback on workforce trends, training progress, and candidate success.
✅ Maintain accurate training records, coaching documentation, and employee training files.
✅ Analyze and present training data and compliance trends using Excel and reporting tools.
✅ Identify training gaps and recommend program improvements.
✅ Attend hearings and meetings as needed to support workforce development.
What We're Looking For :
🔹 Education / Experience : High school diploma or GED required. Minimum 5 years' experience in a heavy industrial environment. Experience in a unionized environment required.
🔹 Skills : Strong communication, organizational, interpersonal, and analytical skills. Ability to read and interpret technical documents, write reports, and communicate effectively across all levels.
🔹 Technical : Proficient in Microsoft Office and capable of data analysis.
🔹 Mindset : Assertive, goal-oriented, self-starter with a positive attitude. Organized and adaptable, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
🔹 Other : Must be willing and able to obtain relevant certifications. Comfortable engaging with employees across all shifts.
