Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail. Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); exposure to estimating / project management software an asset. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Strong communication skills (written and verbal). Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. Takes initiative and wants to grow with the organization. Pre-employment background check and drug screening may apply. Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing accurate quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for residential projects.
- Support tendering and bidding processes, including obtaining and reviewing trade / supplier quotes.
- Maintain and update cost databases, trade pricing, and estimating templates.
- Help prepare budgets and cost reports for ongoing projects.
- Coordinate with project managers, site staff, and suppliers to ensure timely flow of information.
- Review drawings and specifications to identify scope, changes, and discrepancies.
- Track and log change orders, RFIs, and addenda as required.
- Assist with project schedules, documentation, and general coordination tasks.
- Provide administrative support to the estimating and construction management team as needed.
