The St. Louis County Department of Public Health seeks five Environmental Representatives to support environmental programs in the areas of FOOD SANITATION, POOLS, TOBACCO and / or other environmental public health programs.

Qualifications
Selection and Appointment
A selection committee will evaluate the qualifications of each applicant, including education and experience, supplemental questions, and references. The committee will admit to the interview only those with the most job-related qualifications and may establish criteria beyond the minimum qualifications. The interview will comprise 100% of the earned grade. A qualifying grade of 70 or more on the interview is required for eligibility. After initial interviews, applicants will receive an email with instructions to complete and submit a Conviction Questionnaire. Candidates have 3 days to complete the questionnaire. The five top ranking candidates will be certified to the Department Director / Appointing Authority who will make the final decision.
All applicants offered a merit position will be required to submit to urinalysis to screen for illegal drug use prior to appointment. Screening will be performed by a reputable clinical laboratory and the cost will be covered by the County.

Acceptable forms of proof include vaccination records or documentation. New employees must be fully vaccinated prior to starting service, and adherence to this policy is a condition of employment.
