SUMMARY :
As a Foreman, you are responsible for leading a crew of up to 10 roof technicians, ensuring safe and efficient work that meets both customer and company standards. The Foreman role encompasses aspects of roofing, including tear-off, repair, and maintenance, with a primary focus on TPO, PVC, and EPDM roofing systems. Additionally, the foreman oversees the installation of roof-related sheet metal components.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
This role requires extensive experience in the roofing industry, strong leadership skills, and a thorough understanding of various roofing systems and safety protocols.
- Foster a culture of safety, teamwork, and discipline to ensure efficient and professional roofing installation.
- Conduct regular safety meetings with crew members to discuss job site safety protocols.
- Examine roofs and penetrations to plan jobs effectively.
- Lead regular meetings with crew to discuss project progress and schedules.
- Ensure proper installation techniques and adherence to manufacturer specifications.
- Oversee all aspects of roofing projects to maintain high-quality standards.
- Perform inspections and correct any errors in the roofing work.
- Communicate with customers about project status and address any concerns.
- Ensure the job site is clean and properly maintained after completion of work.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES :
Supervises up to 10 employees within Commercial Roofing Production department.Manages your crew, materials, equipment, and administrative work.Provides regular training, evaluation, and feedback to crew members.Allocate strategically among crew members based on their skills and project requirements.QUALIFICATIONS :
Associate's degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or two years related experience and / or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.Ability to travel for 5 weeks at a time.Certificates, licenses and registrations required :Driver’s License.COMPETENCIES :
