Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Special Education, or Visual Impairments, active Teacher of the Visually Impaired certification and 1+ years Teacher of the Visually Impaired experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Seeking qualified Teachers for the Visually Impaired (TVI) for a K-12 educational setting in Kirtland, NM. This position is available for both full-time and part-time placements and spans a full semester contract. The role involves providing specialized instruction and support to students with visual impairments, ensuring they receive an effective and accessible education.

Key Responsibilities :

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students with visual impairments
• Deliver specialized instruction in orientation and mobility, braille, assistive technology, and other relevant skills
• Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and related service providers to support student success
• Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting teaching strategies as needed
• Provide resources and training to school staff regarding visual impairment acmodations and strategies
