Job Description & Requirements Specialty : Cardiac Stepdown Discipline : RN Start Date : 11 / 18 / 2025 Duration : 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift : 12 hours, nights Employment Type : Travel Registered Nurse – CCU Stepdown (Contract) Facility : Mount Sinai Hospital – Heart Hospital Location : 1468 Madison Ave, New York, NY 10029 Duration : 13 Weeks Shift : Nights – 3x12 Hours (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 30 AM) Schedule : 3 shifts / week – 35 beds / unit, Avg. census : 28 Position Overview The Clinical Nurse (RN) provides safe, competent, and quality care based on nursing theory, research, and evidence-based practice to patients in the Coronary Care Unit (CCU) Stepdown at Mount Sinai Heart Hospital. The role emphasizes critical thinking and collaborative interdisciplinary care while applying the Relationship Centered Care model and Modified Primary Nursing. The RN delivers patient care, educates patients and families, prioritizes safe care delivery, and actively participates in quality and safety initiatives.
