Job : Shipper

Classification : Non-exempt

Schedule : 10-hour shift, Monday – Thursday. Overtime as assigned.

Job summary : This position involves preparing and loading products to be shipped to our customers.

Responsibilities : Prepares all items to be shipped from our facility to customers by counting product and verifying according to packing slip. Makes sure all products are bonded and secure for shipping. Verifies and records all items loaded for shipments. Maintains accurate records of shipment data to ensure that customer orders are updated and that appropriate billing documents are provided to accounting. Notifies supervisor of major discrepancies, over-shipments, or substitutions. Transports materials on shipping dock with a hand truck or other vehicle as needed. Performs other clerical duties.

Skills : Time management skills to make sure all deliveries are ready for scheduled shipment. Ability to run forklift to load and unload merchandise. Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Physical requirements : May have to lift-up to 50 lbs.
