A Personal Care Assistant provides personalized care and support to individuals who require assistance with daily living activities due to disability, illness, or age-related conditions. Responsibilities may include assisting with personal hygiene, meal preparation, medication reminders, light housekeeping, running errands, and providing companionship. The main goal of a Personal Care Assistant is to help clients maintain their independence and improve their quality of life.
Requirements :
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certification in CPR and First Aid.
- Experience working in a similar role preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, compassion, and empathy.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift or transfer clients if needed.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Standard motor vehicle report and proof of car insurance.
- A physical and TB test results.
- PCA or CNA Certification or must take PCA test with agency.
