JobSummary
The Project Coordinator is the vital link between our field crews and the office project team.Spending roughly 70% of your time on job sites and 30% in the office, you will transform daily production inputs into actionable intelligence, curb avoidable rental expense, and surface rework or scopecreep risks before they erode margin.This role is ideal for earlycareer professionals or military veterans who are analytical, enjoy being outdoors, and want a fast track into operations management.
KeyResponsibilities
- Daily Production Capture- Ensure crew timecards, installed quantities, and equipment hours are fully entered in HCSSHeavyJob each day; follow up on missing data before payroll cut-off.
- Rental & OwnedEquipment Oversight- Review telematics each morning; when utilization falls below targets, work with operations on next steps, prepare off-rent or redeployment recommendations for the Superintendent and Project Manager.
- ChangeOrder First Response- Walk sites daily; when scope creep is observed, email Operations and PMs within two hours, attaching photos and a concise description to initiate the changeorder workflow.
- Rework & QC Patrol- Track rework items in HeavyJob, noting observations and probable causes in partnership with the Superintendent; support punchlist closeout.
- LookAhead Schedule Alignment- Attend progress meetings, obtain the Superintendents threeweek lookahead, and flag upcoming resource or rental conflicts early.
- Safety & Incident Support- Assist the Safety Manager with JobSafety Analyses (JSAs) and accident / nearmiss reporting as required.
- Weekly Flash Reporting- Compile production reports, equipment utilization, and changeorder aging into a dashboard for team.
Qualifications
Experience
03years in construction management, heavyequipment, industrial engineering, or military construction / logistics ; internships and co-ops welcome.Education
Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Civil or Industrial Engineering, or related field or equivalent hands-on experience.Skills & Competencies
Working knowledge of Excel (pivot tables) and a willingness to learn HCSSHeavyJob, OEM telematics portals, and PowerBI.Basic ability to read civil plans, grade stakes, and production rates.Clear, confident communicatorable to interact with foremen and leadership alike.Strong organization and follow-through; comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously.Valid drivers license with clean MVR; OSHA10 (or ability to earn within 30days).What We Offer
