Position Summary : The Tier I SEBH Leader works collaboratively with building administration and teaching staff to create, facilitate, and evaluate the system for addressing social emotional behavioral health needs of students in a coordinated, systematic multi-tiered system of support (MTSS). The MTSS Tier I SEBH Leader works with the Cedar Rapids Community School District Teacher Leadership Team, District Administration, and teaching staff to support teachers and ensure alignment with the District Vision of Every Learner : Future Ready.
Responsibilities
- Provide direction and leadership for the MTSS Tier I SEBH program consistent with the District vision, mission, and focus.
- Collaborate with the Tier I Team, building staff, and administration to create, communicate, and execute MTSS goals and action steps; monitor and evaluate MTSS implementation, including Core SEBH curriculum and resources.
- Deliver professional learning to teachers and PLC teams at the building level to support MTSS goals.
- Promote a safe, supportive, and collaborative school culture in partnership with building and district staff.
- Engage in regular district professional learning to build capacity for leading and supporting the MTSS system.
Qualifications
Reflective, growth-oriented; open to feedback and coaching.Knowledge of equity principles and culturally responsible pedagogy; ability to identify and address inequitable practices and engage teachers with an equity lens.Knowledge of or willingness to learn the High Reliability Schools framework.Knowledge and experience with implementing a multi-tiered system of support.Commitment to growing others and recognizing that adult learning drives student learning.Leadership experience preferred (e.g., PLC Leader, Team Leader, Department Chair).Knowledge of curriculum, instruction, and assessment; ability to design, present, and facilitate adult learning experiences is preferred.Familiarity with Professional Learning Community processes and protocols; experience with research-based digital literacy strategies.Standard Teaching License with three years of teaching experience; preference for at least one year in CRCS District (extra duty positions).Position Details
Amount of Teacher Leader Service : Additional time outside of the contract day accompanies this position.Number of Positions : 1 per school (Extra Duty Only).Compensation : $500.00 annually.Essential Job Elements
