Solar Structural Engineer Opportunity! This Jobot Job is hosted by David DeCristofaro. We are seeking a Structural Engineer to join our growing team in the Solar PV industry. The successful candidate will have a strong background in structural engineering and will be proficient in using various software such as AutoCAD and Excel. Experience in Solar PV is a huge plus.

Base pay range

$100,000.00 / yr - $130,000.00 / yr

Job Details

We are seeking a Structural Engineer to join our growing team in the Solar PV industry. The successful candidate will have a strong background in structural engineering and will be proficient in using various software such as AutoCAD and Excel. Experience in Solar PV is a huge plus.

Responsibilities

  • Design, analyze, and detail structures for manufacturing facilities, ensuring compliance with applicable building codes and standards (ASCE 7, IBC, UL).
  • Utilize AutoCAD to prepare structural drawings and designs.
  • Conduct structural analysis and design of concrete, steel, and masonry structures using building codes.
  • Use Excel and other software tools for engineering calculations and data analysis.
  • Design and optimize Solar PV structures, ensuring their structural integrity and efficiency.
  • Ideate with Product and Project Management to determine best roadmap for customers.

    • Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering. A Master's degree is a plus.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in structural engineering, preferably within Solar PV industry.
  • Must have experience working on Commercial and Industrial projects. Residential is a nice to have.
  • Leadership experience or the drive / skills to become a leader is a must.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Excel, and other relevant software.
  • Knowledge of building codes and standards (ASCE 7, IBC, UL).
  • Experience with Solar PV structures is highly desirable.
  • STAAD, experience designing cold formed and hot rolled steel, aluminum, and concrete structures is a plus
  • This position will require about 25% travel to main offices
