The Susan Samueli Integrative Health Institute (SSIHI) is a part of UCI Health and the Susan & Henry College of Health Sciences. The Samueli Institute works to transform healthcare through the practice of integrative health by conducting rigorous research, promoting evidence-informed treatment modalities, educating the public on well-being practices, providing individualized, patient-centered clinical care, and providing services to the community that focus on obtaining optimal health.
Your Role on the Team
Reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), the Special Projects Manager supports senior leadership by managing a variety of high-priority initiatives and projects that are strategic in nature and critical to the success of the Susan Samueli Integrative Health Institute. This role is responsible for coordinating initiative and project activities, tracking progress, and ensuring deliverables are completed accurately and on time. The position requires strong organizational and analytical skills to gather and interpret data, prepare regular and annual reports, and develop clear presentations and materials for leadership, stakeholders, and external audiences. Attention to detail and the ability to translate complex information into concise written, visual, and graphical formats are essential. The Special Projects Manager applies established policies, procedures, and project management practices to a diverse set of assignments. While many initiatives vary in scope and complexity, the role consistently ensures alignment with leadership priorities, timely communication of progress, and thorough documentation of outcomes. Graphic design and data visualization skills are highly valued to enhance reporting and presentation efforts. At the direction of the Founding Executive Director and CAO, the Special Projects Manager plays a key role in advancing the Institute's mission through the successful management and delivery of strategic, high-impact initiatives.
