Summary :
The – Fabrication Project Manager is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating prefabrication projects to ensure delivery on time, within budget, and in alignment with quality standards. This role oversees project execution from bid review through project closeout, working closely with estimating, procurement, engineering, and production teams to drive success.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage incoming bid requests with estimating and business development teams; review estimates, labor calculations, material pricing, and subcontractor proposals.
- Review project proposals and plans to define scope, schedule, budget, staffing, and resource allocation.
- Collaborate with Project Controls to establish and maintain project budgets.
- Lead project kick-off meetings to align all departments and establish schedules.
- Prepare purchase requisitions, vendor subcontracts, and material purchase orders; coordinate timely shipments to meet customer schedules.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and fabrication quality standards (ASME, AISC).
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, or related field; or 10+ years of relevant project management experience in prefabrication / fabrication.Strong knowledge of prefabrication processes, piping, or structural design.Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel); experience with SpoolFab, Tekla, or Tekla EPM preferred.Familiarity with ASME and / or AISC fabrication quality programs.Core Competencies
