Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Labor and Delivery RN with at least one year of L&D experience and a current CA RN license for night shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Position is within the Labor and Delivery unit of an acute care hospital
  • Cares for high-risk OB and a culturally diverse patient population
  • RNs circulate on cesarean sections
  • Night shift schedule (3x12 hour shifts, 18 : 00 - 6 : 30)
  • Weekend shifts required every other weekend
  • Floating required between like units and all facilities within the state
  • Epic EMR system is used; experience is required
  • RNs are expected to float as needed according to hospital policy
  • Scrubs may be any solid color, with Royal Blue or Navy typically worn
  • Free parking on first day; parking assignment provided during orientation
  • All requested time off must be included at the time of application and may impact consideration
  • Holiday coverage may be required per hospital needs
  • Local candidates are accepted for this position

    • Requirements

  • Active CA RN license required at time of submission
  • Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience
  • Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, and NRP required
  • Experience with Epic EMR required
  • Open to first-time travelers
  • Returning employees must have a 3 month gap after previous permanent employment and must live more than 50 miles from the facility
